Recently, The Weather Channel featured garage doors during the show Weather Proof as part of their Tornado Week Special.  The door used is a standard, non-insulated, sectional door with no struts.

These videos are great examples of why we always recommend insulated "sandwich" style garage doors (doors with steel on the front AND the back, with insulation in the middle). It's also why all of our technicians are trained to recognize when and where a door may need a stainless steel strut installed to maximize stability.

Here are some of our more popular doors.
